1. Jim and Michael Collins to visit Natarbora 4th July 2007 – 14th July 2007

The tasks we have to undertake are as follows:-

  • Inspect the goats at Maliana and select two young males for transfer to Natarbora. Purchase 20 young local females as a foundation for herds at the NATS.
  • Unpack selected items from the container . Load Heinz truck.
  • Mike will erect a length of electric fence . Instruct Nikolau and his team.
  • Distribute goods from the container through Rui.
  • Take $400 US to the health clinic.
  • Assemble the food grinder. Try grinding maize mung bean sugar mixture.
  • Distribute vegetable seeds.
  • Collect information on rat problem as a basis for an action strategy.
  • Consult Manuella to sort out what we do about distribution of mosquito nets.
  • Track down Bello chap and find out what needs to happen to get the rural newspaper off the ground.
  • Float the idea of a Natarbora rural radio.
  • Convert the idea of a water supply and toilet system at the JSS into a costed proposal.
  • Visit the villages and assess why they are short of food.
  • Arrange a meeting of the Friendship Commission to coincide with David and Mick�s visit for the school the school opening.
  • Visit Fuiloro on the way back to Dili.

2.  St Francis of Assisi School, Natarbora Opening

Father Mick Burke and David Gallan will attend the opening of the St Francis of Assisi School Natarbora on 26th June 2007 at Natarbora. The Bega Catholic Parishes have raised approximately $40,000 for this project. A more detailed report will be available after the opening.
